Massive Hashish Haul Washes Ashore on Moroccan Coast Near Tetouan

Several dozen drug packages have been discovered on the beaches of the Tetouan region. A drug trafficking operation that went wrong is suspected.
The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie made a rather surprising discovery on the beaches of Oued Laou, Temrabet and Azla, near Tetouan. They found a large quantity of drugs, suggesting an attempted trafficking that went wrong.
The hypothesis favored by the law enforcement authorities is that the unfavorable weather conditions forced the traffickers to hastily get rid of their cumbersome merchandise.
In total, more than twenty hashish bales, weighing a total of more than 800 kilograms, were recovered. These packages were spotted after it was noticed that the waves were bringing other bales back to these beaches. Some of these packages were found on the sand, while others were still floating in the sea.
The Royal Gendarmerie of Tetouan has launched an investigation to trace the origin of this drug and identify all the people involved in this case.
