Massive Cocaine Haul Washes Ashore on Moroccan Beach Near Kenitra

Bags containing some 90 kilograms of cocaine, washed up by the sea, were discovered on the beaches of Sidi Mohamed Lahmer in the Kenitra region, on the night of Sunday to Monday.
The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) were alerted to the discovery and sent elements of the Sidi Mohamed Lahmer gendarmerie to the scene, who proceeded to seize the bags containing 90 kilos of cocaine, reports Assabah.
The seized bags were handed over to the customs director of the Kenitra provincial directorate, and samples of the drug were analyzed in the research and analysis laboratory of the Royal Gendarmerie Command. The analysis results revealed that it is a hard drug that may come from South America.
According to the preliminary investigation, these bags washed up on the beaches of Sidi Mohamed Lahmer due to the gusts of wind that hit several cities in the north of the kingdom. The FAR unit in charge of monitoring the coastline between Moulay Bousselham and Sidi Taibi remains on alert in anticipation of the rejection of other drug bags by the sea.
