Massive Hashish Haul Washes Ashore Near Moroccan Capital

Bags containing large quantities of hashish, washed up by the sea, were discovered on Sunday on the beaches of Sidi Moussa in Salé. The area has been secured and the drugs seized.
Alerted of the discovery, the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Salé, the head of the regional security of Salé, the commander of the fourth annex, the auxiliary authorities and the auxiliary forces took their responsibilities, proceeding to the cordoning off of the area where the bags of hashish were found. The drugs were seized and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the incident.
In the wake, other drug bales were discovered on the coast of Sidi Bourdibala in Bouznika. The competent authorities also proceeded to seize this drug and opened an investigation. According to witnesses, these large quantities of cannabis resin washed up by the sea would belong to international drug trafficking networks, used to using this route.
