Father Arrested in Morocco for Alleged Murder of Wife and Four Children

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of the Ain Lahcen region in the Tetouan region, in coordination with the local authorities, arrested on Monday the man wanted for the murder of his four minor children and their mother in the commune of Baghgaza.
The family father was arrested after two days of searching. On the orders of the competent public prosecutor’s office, which opened an investigation, the defendant was questioned by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
The suspect is accused of having killed on Saturday in his house in the Oued Asla douar, in the commune of Baghgaza, province of Tetouan, his 38-year-old wife and his four children, including two boys aged 12 and 4 and two girls aged 8 and 6 years old. The bodies of the five victims were transported to the morgue of the Tetouan hospital.
The perpetrator fled after his crime. The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie launched a search for him, deploying sniffer dogs and a drone in the area. According to local sources, the family father would suffer from mental disorders.
