Father Arrested After Fatal Beating of Son in Moroccan Family Dispute

A dispute that turns into a tragedy in the Oulad Saïd region, near Settat. On Saturday, H. A, a 33-year-old man died following a quarrel with his father, with whom he lived in the Laâwamra Oulad Salem douar under the rural commune of Oulad Said. During the dispute, his father struck him blows. The son succumbed to his injuries.

Informed, the elements of the royal gendarmerie of the territorial center of Oulad Saïd, as well as the local authorities, arrived at the scene of the tragedy. The gendarmes arrested the father and then placed him in custody. The funeral services at the Settat morgue, for their part, transported the son’s body to the Settat morgue for an autopsy as part of the preliminary investigation.
