Children will spend less to get the new biometric identity card. This was one of the key amendments introduced by parliamentary advisors to the Finance Bill (PLF 2020).
The authorities are lowering prices to equip Moroccan children with their first biometric identity cards, whether they are 18 years old or not. Thus, the stamp duty applied to application files for obtaining the new CNIE for under 12s will be only 50 dirhams. As for the others, the stamp duty is set at 75 dirhams.
