• German Smuggler Arrested at Gibraltar Border with Moroccan Drugs

  The Gibraltar customs services managed to apprehend a German national at the Spanish border. The individual was in possession of a large quantity of drugs from Morocco.

  A Dutch national of Moroccan origin was sentenced by the Ghent Court of Appeal in Belgium to 12 years in prison for setting up a drug trafficking network. He is accused, along with his cousin, of having sold more than 210 kilos of heroin, and of causing the death of 3 people who died of overdose.

• Moroccan Customs Seize 460 kg of Cannabis in Expatriate’s Car at Tangier Port

  An attempt to traffic cannabis resin was thwarted by the Moroccan customs at the Port of Tangier on Tuesday, August 27. A couple of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) tried to smuggle a quantity of 460 kilograms, carefully hidden in the bodywork of their 4x4 car, in the form of slabs.
