The Spanish police, in collaboration with the French national police, dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking from Morocco to France via Seville and Malaga in Spain. In total, seven people were arrested.

The traffickers hid the drugs in legal goods transported in Moroccan trucks destined for France. But before that, the drugs are stored in "nurseries" set up in Seville and Malaga. In total, 247 kilos of marijuana buds, small quantities of hashish, nearly 40,000 euros and a firearm were seized by the Spanish police agents during the joint operation carried out with their French counterparts, reports Viva Sevilla.

The operation started last November when the investigators were informed of the arrival of individuals engaged in the trafficking of hashish and marijuana in Benalmádena and Fuengirola (Malaga) destined for France, according to the Spanish National Police in a press release. The investigations made it possible to locate the house where the traffickers hid the drugs before transporting them to France in a van and a car, regularly changing the license plates.

The criminal network went to Malaga in mid-November where it made contact with a Moroccan truck that was supposed to transport the drugs later to France. The investigators observed the same modus operandi of the network in mid-December and proceeded to dismantle it, an operation that led to the arrest of seven people accused of crimes of belonging to a criminal organization and drug and arms trafficking.

In total, nearly 37,000 euros in cash, two geolocation devices, several hashish resins, German and French license plates, various documents of regular shipments of several hundred kilos of hashish and cannabis were seized during the search carried out at the homes of the traffickers.
