CAF President Motsepe to Announce 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Host Country

Morocco and the other candidate countries for the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) are holding their breath until Friday, February 10, when the President of the Confederation of African Football will announce the name of the host country.
Just a few more hours and Patrice Motsepe will end the suspense and announce the name of the country that will host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Morocco would be one of the biggest favorites because it is supported by many African countries and has the appropriate infrastructure. The Moroccan stadiums have been called upon many times by the CAF and by FIFA to host major sporting events such as the women’s AFCON or the Club World Cup currently taking place, reports challenge.ma.
The opening ceremony of the Mondialito, which took place at the large Ibn Battouta stadium in Tangier, did not escape the African and world press. The Angolan newspaper Ecos Do Henda even displayed in its columns that Morocco deserves to host the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. The article is illustrated with photos of several Moroccan stadiums. "The Kingdom presents itself with the potential to host the 2025 AFCON, not excluding the possibility of also organizing, in the near future, the FIFA World Cup," writes the newspaper.
