Tragedy on Mount Toubkal: Foreign Tourist Falls to His Death

The man, who was on an exploratory outing with friends to discover the region’s natural sites, fell from an escarpment described as extremely rugged. The force of the fall left him no chance, and his death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

Following the alert, members of the Royal Gendarmerie went to the site. To reach the scene of the tragedy, they relied on the knowledge of local tourist guides familiar with the area. The victim’s body was recovered and transferred to the morgue, while an investigation was opened to determine the precise circumstances of the tragedy.
