Spain Malaga: Young Moroccan Stabbed to Death in Dispute

The victim, a 29-year-old Moroccan national, was attempting to regularize his administrative status in Spain. Originally from the city of Fès according to neighbors, the young man was violently attacked Monday around 8 p.m. in the La Palmilla sector. Emergency services, alerted by several calls reporting an assault near a bar on Concejal Pedro Ruz García street, took charge of the injured man. Struck by at least two knife wounds to the chest, he was evacuated by ambulance to the Regional Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his serious injuries.

The Criminal Brigade of the National Police quickly identified the alleged attacker. According to information relayed by La Opinión de Málaga, it is a 27-year-old Spanish citizen, identified as the son of the deceased’s landlord.

Investigators are favoring the hypothesis of a fatal dispute over a real estate problem. The young Moroccan lived nearby, on Eume street, in a dwelling originally belonging to the Andalusian region, but which is currently outside any official administrative control.
