Drama near Barcelona: A mother and her daughter between life and death, the Moroccan companion on the run

The police intervention took place around 3 p.m. inside an apartment in the historic district, after neighbors alerted the emergency services. On site, the Mossos d’Esquadra and the emergency medical services took care of two seriously injured women. According to the latest report provided by the municipality, the daughter is now in a state of brain death while her mother is hospitalized in critical condition. The alleged perpetrator of the acts, identified as the companion of the younger victim, managed to leave the scene before the arrival of the police patrols.

The investigation is focused on the active search for this 24-year-old man, whose description has been circulated to the various units in the region. The law enforcement authorities are currently conducting searches in several homes where the aggressor might be hiding. This assault has caused a strong emotion, prompting the town hall of Calella to organize a gathering on Friday evening in front of the town hall to denounce this violence and show its support for the victims and their loved ones.
