Royal Air Maroc London–Tétouan Flights: New Direct Route in 2026

Starting on 29 March 2026, the Moroccan national carrier will connect the British airport with Tétouan with two flights per week. This initiative strengthens connectivity between the United Kingdom and northern Morocco, responding to growing demand for Mediterranean destinations as the summer season approaches.

This development is part of an ambitious growth plan for the airport, which is preparing to welcome eight new airlines and serve more than 230 worldwide destinations. The expansion also reaches North America, Asia and the Middle East, consolidating Gatwick’s role as a leading international hub.

The increase in traffic follows government approval for the regular use of the airport’s northern runway. Pierre-Hugues Schmit, the infrastructure’s chief executive, stressed that this momentum strengthens the goal of becoming “the airport for everyone”, while providing greater flexibility and stimulating regional economic growth.

The project is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs in piloting, maintenance and ground operations. In addition to Morocco, new routes to Canada, Denmark and Switzerland are planned to complete this expanded offering before the start of summer.
