Royal Air Maroc connects Paris to Tetouan

This is a small revolution for Northern Morocco. Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is establishing an air base at Tetouan – Sania R’mel Airport. As of March 27, 2026, the White Dove will be directly connected to several cities in Europe, including Paris.

The mandatory transit through Tangier or Casablanca is over for many travelers. The national airline is bringing the diaspora and tourists closer to the Northern region by launching six new direct international routes: Paris, London, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga. These flights will be operated by Embraer 190 aircraft, optimized for these medium-haul routes.

This offensive is accompanied by a strengthening of the domestic Tetouan–Casablanca line. Three additional weekly frequencies are being added to the existing weekend flights, thus facilitating connections via the Mohammed V airport hub.

A massive expansion strategy in 2026

This new base, the result of a collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), aims to complement the offer of Tangier and support the economic development of the region. "The opening of this base is fully in line with our commitment to tourism development," confirms Hamid Addou, CEO of the company.

RAM’s appetite does not stop there. After announcing Los Angeles and St. Petersburg, the national carrier plans to launch new routes to Bilbao, Alicante, Pointe-Noire, Beirut, Verona, Lille and Tripoli during 2026.

Tickets for these new routes departing from Tetouan are on sale as of January 7, 2026.
