Royal Air Maroc Climbs to 53rd in Global Airline Rankings, Outpaces African Rivals

A new distinction for the Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc, which has just been awarded by the Skytrax World Airlines Awards. Air Algérie, which intends to surpass the Moroccan company, is not even in the top 100.
In this ranking unveiled on Monday, Royal Air Maroc climbs to second place among the best airlines in Africa, succeeding Ethiopian Airlines and overtaking major players such as South African Airways, Kenya Airways and Air Mauritius. In addition, the Moroccan company has distinguished itself by a 13-place progression in the general Skytrax World Airlines Awards ranking, moving up to 53rd place. Air Algérie, on the other hand, is absent from the Top 100.
This ranking was unveiled as RAM has just announced the launch of a new international campaign. Titled "Morocco Smiles to You", it aims to promote Moroccan destinations to its main markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and America. In the words of its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hamid Addou, this campaign aims to "display the face of a smiling people, rich in its ancestral values: openness, hospitality, generosity, tolerance..."
Initially deployed in France, the campaign is now extending to 16 other countries, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Germany, Turkey, Tunisia, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Canada and the United States.
