Renault Nissan Resumes Production in Tangier with Enhanced Safety Measures

Following the health restart plan put in place, the Renault Nissan plant in Tangier is operating again.
This plan implemented by this plant makes it possible to ensure the protection of the personnel, according to the general manager of the Renault Nissan Tangier site, Jean-François Gal. According to him, this health plan makes it possible to double the number of buses, in order to limit the number of people inside, the implementation of systematic temperature control for all people entering the plant, and the installation of a thermal camera to prevent access to the plant for any infected person.
According to the CEO of the Renault Nissan Tangier site, the restart of the activity validated by the authorities is conditional on the massive testing campaign. The boss of this plant says he is happy with this return to normal despite the particular context. Mr. Gal assures that, despite the new constraints due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the plant has been able to resume its production with a very good level of the planned volumes.
On the side of the Renault Nissan Tangier staff union, the general secretary, Mustapha El Hassani, specifies that the members of the plant’s health and safety committee are working to raise awareness and ensure the implementation of preventive measures within the plant and outside. He reports on the deployment of a number of awareness-raising tools. For his part, the assembly operator, Attouch Younes, reassures about the preventive measures put in place by the plant allowing a resumption of activities in a safe environment, including preventive measures respecting barrier gestures and social distancing.
Note that the inter-ministerial commission and local authorities have conditioned the gradual restart of the Tangier plant on the disinfection of all infrastructures one or more times a day.
