PSG Star Achraf Hakimi Indicted for Rape, Claims Innocence Amid Extortion Allegations

Achraf Hakimi was indicted on Friday for rape. The Moroccan defender of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who denies the facts, is supported by his family and his club. According to his entourage, he says he feels "betrayed".
The Nanterre court has indicted Achraf Hakimi, accused of rape by a 24-year-old woman. The player’s entourage claims he has been "trapped". Hakimi himself would have confessed to feeling "betrayed". Since the outbreak of the case, the Moroccan international has denied the facts. According to his lawyer, he would be the victim of an attempted extortion, recalls EFE.
The alleged victim went to the Nogent-sur-Marne police station on Saturday, February 25 to report having been raped by the Moroccan player at his Parisian home in Boulogne-Billancourt. She did not wish to file a complaint, but the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office took over the case due to the "seriousness" of the facts and the "notoriety" of the player.
