PSG Star Achraf Hakimi Denies Rape Accusation, Lawyer Claims Extortion Attempt

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has, through his lawyer, reacted to his indictment for rape. A 24-year-old woman accused the PSG right-back of raping her on February 25 at his home in Boulogne-Billancourt, on the outskirts of Paris, but his lawyer mentions an attempted extortion.
"During his hearing, carried out at his express request, Achraf Hakimi firmly denied the accusations against him," said his lawyer Fanny Colin in a statement sent to L’Équipe, before recalling: "the indictment measure that followed this hearing is a mandatory step for any person who is the subject of a rape accusation and finally offers Mr. Hakimi the opportunity to defend himself by granting him a large number of rights, first and foremost the right to access the file."
After the few hours of questioning, she says she notes that "the accuser refused to file a complaint, refused to undergo any medical or psychological examination and refused to be confronted with Achraf Hakimi, while the accusation rests exclusively on her statements." "In my opinion, the documents in the hands of the judicial police show that Mr. Hakimi has, in this case, been the subject of an attempted extortion," she concluded.
For her part, Rachel-Flore Pardo, the lawyer for the alleged victim, also contacted by the same media, indicated that her client has chosen to confide in justice "and will only express herself before it."
