    The American company TI Automotive has just announced an investment of 16 million euros in a new factory located in Tangier.

    The automotive sector is booming in Morocco. Vehicle production is expected to reach 45% by the end of 2019, before reaching 60% in 2020, reports hespress.com.   • Peugeot Expands Moroccan Operations: 2,370 Engineers and Technicians to Staff New Kénitra Plant

    The French automaker PSA, which plans to open a plant this year in Kénitra, currently has 2,370 specialized engineers and technicians.

    700 million euros. This is the overall purchasing volume achieved by the PSA Group in Morocco for the year 2018, a figure that far exceeds the commitments made with the State.

    After suspending all its plants located in Europe, the French automaker PSA decided on Thursday, March 19, to shut down its Kenitra plant, due to the spread of the coronavirus.
    According to a spokesman for the French manufacturer, the Kenitra plant will remain closed for two weeks. Renault had previously suspended production at its two plants in Casablanca and Tangier.

    Stellantis would have decided to entrust the entire production of the Peugeot 208 (Internal Combustion) to the Kenitra plant, in Morocco. Until now, it was shared with the Trnava plant in Slovakia.
