Morocco: A new Fiat vehicle will be produced in Kénitra
Stellantis plans to produce its future Fiat Koala model in its Kénitra plant in Morocco. This project is part of the group’s global strategy to develop "smart" and competitive vehicles.
The industrial site of Kénitra is about to welcome a new arrival on its assembly lines. After the Giga Panda and the Fastback, it is the turn of the Fiat Koala to be earmarked for Moroccan production. According to information from the Corriere della Sera, this choice confirms the growing importance of Morocco in Stellantis’ production system, which is already assembling several models derived from vehicles initially designed in Serbia.

The development of the project is already well advanced, as pre-production units are currently coming off the lines. The brand was officially registered in Turin last week by the FCA Marketing Group. This new model will use the Panda’s technical platform, sharing mechanical elements with the Grande Panda and the Pandina, while sporting a completely original exterior design and interior.
