Off-Duty Moroccan Police Officer Fatally Stabbed While Intervening in Neighborhood Dispute

The deceased police officer was stationed in Marrakech. He was on vacation in Inezgane when he intervened to try to settle a neighborhood dispute between two people who were threatening each other with a bladed weapon. It was while trying to separate them that the suspect allegedly stabbed him in the neck, causing serious injuries that proved fatal.

Arrested, the individual was placed in custody. The investigations are still ongoing to determine all the circumstances and background of this case, and the search continues to arrest the second suspect.
