Suspect Arrested in Rabat Currency Exchange Robbery of 360,000 Dirhams

The elements of the judicial police of Tangier in coordination with those of Rabat arrested, on Tuesday, a 37-year-old individual, suspected of being involved in a theft committed in a currency exchange office in the Agdal district of Rabat.
The arrest of the suspect came following an investigation launched on May 28 by the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ), in order to solve the case, indicates a statement from the DGSN, specifying that he would have stolen some 360,000 dirhams.
To succeed in his operation, the criminal would have broken the windows of the agency in order to break in, it is specified. The investigations carried out by the judicial police of Tangier made it possible to identify the brother of the director of the currency exchange office, designated as the main suspect. He will be arrested in Tangier. During the searches at his home, the investigators seized a sum of money that could come from the loot of the burglary.
The accused was placed in custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation conducted by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) in order to determine the circumstances of this act and to verify the involvement of any accomplices.
