Casablanca Police Inspector Arrested for Alleged Phone Theft

The judicial police of Casablanca have arrested a police inspector suspected of being involved in a theft case.
The arrest of the suspect follows the viewing of a recording showing the latter taking mobile phones, which he would have taken to examine at a nearby merchant on Avenue de Moulay Rachid without completing the payment formalities, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The suspect was identified thanks to the investigations of the city’s police services, the same source specifies, stressing that he is also the subject of a disciplinary procedure for unjustified abandonment of his mission.
The suspect has been taken into custody, pending the completion of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine all the criminal acts he may have committed.
