Moroccan Police Officer Arrested in Tétouan for Alleged Extortion and Corruption

A police officer who would be involved in a case of extortion and corruption is the subject of an investigation opened on Tuesday by the prefectural judicial police service of Tétouan.
It all started with a complaint filed by a woman with the security services, who claims to have been extorted by a police officer. The officer would have demanded from her the payment of a large sum in order to intercede for her in a drug trafficking case involving her brother in Larache.
After his arrest, the suspect was questioned and placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
