Moroccan Police Hunt Businessman in Major Cocaine Trafficking Bust

A businessman suspected of being involved in a drug trafficking case is actively being sought by the Tetouan police. An arrest warrant has been issued against him by the public prosecutor’s office.
The suspect is mentioned in the investigations carried out following the dismantling of a drug trafficking network last week in Tetouan, reports Al Akhbar, according to which the famous businessman would be a member of this network specialized in the trafficking of hard drugs.
During this operation, three men and a woman aged 28 to 43, already known to the justice system, were arrested in different cities in the north of the kingdom. The searches allowed the seizure of 5.184 kg of cocaine, ready for distribution.
According to the preliminary investigation, one of the suspects arrested during the investigation said he had dealt with the businessman in August. The individual, actively sought, would have sold him two kilograms of cocaine, at 550 dirhams per gram.
In addition, 13 people suspected of being part of this network have been identified. In addition to Tetouan, the network would be active in Martil, Fnideq, M’diq, Ouazzane, Tangier, Nador or even Oued Laou. The search continues to find any possible ramifications of the network which was mainly operating in northern Morocco.
