Moroccan Police Bust Major Cannabis Ring: Over 1.3 Tons Seized, 3 Arrested

Three repeat offenders, aged 23 to 45, were arrested in Tetouan for their alleged involvement with a criminal network involved in an attempted trafficking of a ton and 350 kg of cannabis. The elements of the prefectural judicial police service of the city were behind the operation.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specified that the first suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto of possession and trafficking of cannabis in the Martil region. Subsequently, the searches and investigations carried out proved fruitful: his two alleged suppliers were identified and then arrested in the Bni Bouzra region in the suburbs of the city of Chefchaouen.
During the search operations carried out in coordination with the services of the Royal Gendarmerie in a warehouse occupied by the two alleged suppliers, the investigators seized 1.35 tons of cannabis.
Pending the identification of all the people involved in this case and the determination of its possible ramifications both nationally and internationally, the accused have been taken into custody.
