Moroccan Police Seize One Ton of Cannabis in Major Drug Bust Near Er-Rich

The judicial police of Errachidia thwarted an attempt at drug trafficking this Monday morning. About a ton of cannabis resin was seized, followed by the arrest of an individual.
This operation carried out by the Errachidia police took place at the level of the commune "Ghriss El Aloui" located about 7 km from the city of Er-Rich, indicates a statement from the DGSN. The 30-year-old suspect was apprehended in flagrante delicto of possession of 40 packets of cannabis resin weighing a total of one ton. He was driving a vehicle with fake license plates.
The searches carried out by the police made it possible to seize six fake license plates, money that would be the proceeds of this criminal activity. The thirty-year-old arrested was taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation opened to determine any other ramifications of this case. The research and investigations continue to identify any accomplices.
