Man Arrested in Morocco for Terrorism After Weapons Cache and Extremist Materials Found

The elements of the judicial police of Fnideq, proceeded on Monday, to the arrest of a man for apology of terrorism and violence against ascendants. An investigation has been opened.
The suspect who, according to the initial findings of the investigation, is an adept of the extremist and violent ideology, was arrested in an abandoned house in the Sidi Boughaba neighborhood. The searches allowed the police to seize a large saber, two cleavers, a mask, manuscripts glorifying terrorism and calling for violence.
The 34-year-old defendant was entrusted to the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ, under the DGST) on the orders of the competent prosecutor’s office in terrorism cases. An investigation has been opened to determine whether he is acting individually or has other accomplices with whom he plans to undermine public order.
