Foreign Tourist Arrested in Morocco for Attempted Sexual Assault on Minor

The Agadir police arrested on Monday a 66-year-old foreign tourist who allegedly tried to sexually abuse a 14-year-old minor in the restroom of a restaurant.
According to the daily Al Akhbar, the suspect was caught in the act while committing his crime in the restroom of a restaurant. According to the initial elements of the investigation, the 66-year-old man arrived on vacation in Morocco a week ago. He is said to have lured the minor into the restaurant by offering him lunch.
He is then said to have followed the child into the restroom. It was at the moment he was about to act that customers and employees of the restaurant caught him in the act. Arrested, he was placed in custody pending the conclusions of the investigation opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigation will determine whether the suspect is a repeat offender in Morocco.
