Elderly French Tourist Killed in Random Attack in Morocco; Suspect Arrested

The gendarmerie elements arrested in Moulay Bousselham in the province of Kenitra, an individual showing signs of mental imbalance, for physical assault on two French tourists, an octogenarian couple.
The woman, aged 82, did not survive her injuries. She succumbed to a head injury at the Moulay Youssef hospital in Rabat. Her husband is still under surveillance in the same hospital. According to the information available to the Moulay Bousselham gendarmerie, nothing justifies or explains what prompted the defendant to attack the two tourists with stones.
The suspect was taken into custody, pending the completion of the investigation opened to determine the motives for this deadly assault.
