Foreign Tourist Allegedly Raped in Agadir; Suspect Arrested

A man was arrested on Sunday by the police in Agadir, for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a foreign tourist. An investigation has been opened.
The victim, whose name and nationality have not been disclosed, claims in her complaint to the judicial police in Agadir that she was raped by the suspect.
According to the initial findings of the investigation, the tourist was hosted by the accused at his home in Ait Melloul, 15 km south of Agadir, and this with the agreement of his wife. She would have "completely mistaken the path" leading to her hotel, late at night.
The investigation also revealed that the tourist was sexually assaulted by the accused, according to the same source, according to which the investigations made it possible to identify and arrest the accused. The victim was taken care of by the Support Cell for Women and Child Victims of Violence.
The man was placed in custody and a judicial investigation was opened to shed light on this case and to verify "the role" of his wife in the facilitation or concealment of criminal acts.
