Cocaine Trafficking Ring Uncovered in Marrakech Nightclubs, Bouncer Arrested

Following the arrest of a bouncer in possession of cocaine packets in Marrakech, the police launched an investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office. He is suspected of belonging to a trafficking network operating in the city’s nightclubs.
The suspect’s arrest took place during a check carried out by police officers in a nightclub located near the city center, reports Assabah, specifying that the individual had two small packets of cocaine in his possession.
During his interrogation, the man claimed that the drug was for his personal consumption. Arrested, he is suspected of belonging to a cocaine trafficking network operating in the nightclubs of Marrakech. Moreover, this operation follows a first one that led to the arrest of a customer of the establishment who was in possession of a gram of drugs. The latter admitted to having obtained it from the same suspect, while citing the name of the establishment involved.
A search of the bouncer’s home allowed the seizure of no less than 232 grams of cocaine. The police also found a scale used to weigh the drugs, which, according to the police, proves that he was selling them himself to the customers of the nightclub.
The accused was placed in custody pending the completion of the investigation by the justice system and the identification of the other people involved.
