Cocaine Ring Busted: Three Arrested in Rabat Drug Sting Operation

The judicial police services of Rabat, in close coordination with the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), succeeded in arresting three individuals aged 26 to 31 in the middle of a cocaine transaction.
Their arrest took place in the Yacoub El Mansour district of Rabat on Thursday, November 17, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. The suspects, who have a criminal record in drug trafficking, used a light vehicle and relied on a micro-network made up of a handful of resellers who supplied the cocaine directly to customers in several neighborhoods of Rabat. During the search, the judicial police elements of Rabat seized 300 grams of cocaine and a light vehicle, as well as the confiscation of criminal assets.
During the police record check, it was discovered that a nationwide arrest warrant had been issued against one of the suspects for a similar case, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. Pending the determination of the ins and outs of this case and the tracking of any ramifications of this criminal activity, the three defendants were placed in custody for the needs of the investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
