Colombian Pilot Arrested in Morocco for Alleged Drug Trafficking by Light Aircraft

Elements of the prefectural service of the judicial police of Tangier arrested, on Saturday, a Colombian national who would be involved in an international drug trafficking network using light aircraft.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), this 41-year-old Colombian citizen was arrested while hiding in a house in the medina of Tangier. He had been wanted since September 20, following the discovery of an aircraft used in the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, which had to make an emergency landing in the rural commune of Hajar Al Nahl in Tangier.
The investigations and investigations led the police to the trail of the Colombian, who was found a dozen days later. Currently in detention, he is the subject of an investigation aimed at identifying his possible accomplices in Morocco and abroad, determining the extent of this criminal drug trafficking network, and obtaining information on the air routes and circuits used to transport drugs to and from Morocco.
