Search Intensifies for Missing Pilot After Plane Crash Near Tangier

The gendarmerie services under the Tangier command, in coordination with the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), are conducting searches to find the pilot of a plane that crashed in the region.
The search continues to identify the pilot of a plane that crashed in a commune near Tangier, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. Investigators are trying to determine if the plane crashed in the commune due to overloading or if the pilot decided to abandon the aircraft. They have questioned several residents of the region to find the pilot’s trail.
This is the second crash of its kind recorded in the same region in a few days. This region would be used by drug traffickers to illegally land planes to load their cargo. This is what explains the involvement of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in the case. Investigators do not yet have enough elements to solve this case. The only information received indicates that a foreign pilot was on board the plane or the impossibility of knowing who was on board the small plane. The aircraft crashed (or made an emergency landing) without making much noise. So, no witnesses to provide the necessary information to help the investigators.
