Royal Moroccan Gendarmerie Plane Crashes Near Dakhla, All Crew Rescued

A Royal Gendarmerie plane crashed on Friday, December 31, 2021 off the coast of Dakhla. There were no fatalities.
More fear than harm. According to an anonymous source, a twin-engine Defender aircraft with a capacity of 10 to 13 seats crashed last Friday off the coast of Dakhla, reports Le Collimateur.ma. There were no fatalities. The three crew members were rescued and are safe and sound, the same source assures. For now, the Royal Gendarmerie has not yet communicated on the causes of this crash.
In January 2019, a fighter plane on a training mission had crashed in an uninhabited area in the Taounate region. The cause of this crash was a technical failure. According to the details provided by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the pilot emerged unscathed, after managing to eject from the aircraft.
