Tragic Collision Near Casablanca: 5 Dead, 7 Injured as Tractor and Van Crash on Sidi Bennour Road

A terrible accident occurred on Sunday on the road connecting Sidi Bennour and Oulad Amran in the province of Sidi Bennour, near Casablanca. The toll is five dead and seven injured.
A brutal impact. A collision between a tractor and a van has left five dead and seven injured. The seven injured victims are all from the same family. Four individuals died on the spot, while the fifth died later at the El Jadida provincial hospital, according to a statement from the director of the Sidi Bennour provincial hospital, Mohamed Riad.
Medical teams arrived on the scene when informed. They transferred two seriously injured people to the El Jadida hospital, while the five others received emergency care. Royal Gendarmerie officers also arrived at the scene. They immediately launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
The initial findings suggest that the cause could be a driving error or loss of vehicle control.
Road traffic deaths are multiplying in the kingdom. In total, more than 1,600 deaths were recorded in the first five months of 2025, an increase of nearly 21% compared to the previous year.
