Deadly Tire Blowout in Morocco: 4 Killed, 5 Seriously Injured in Taroudant Crash
Four agricultural workers lost their lives in a terrible road accident that occurred Monday on a rural road in the commune of Sebt El Guerdane, in the province of Taroudant. Five others are seriously injured.
The accident occurred after a tire of the pickup truck carrying fourteen agricultural workers burst. The driver lost control of the steering wheel and collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, according to a statement from the King’s Attorney General at the Agadir Court of Appeal.
Four workers died on the spot and five others are seriously injured. Six other people, including the drivers of both vehicles, have minor injuries. The injured were transported to the emergency department of the El Mokhtar Soussi provincial hospital in Taroudant where they are receiving necessary care.
The competent prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
