Deadly Night Crash: 8 Killed as Truck Collides with Taxi on Moroccan Highway

Eight people died in a traffic accident that occurred during the night from Thursday to Friday in the province of Taroudant. The accident took place on national road No. 11, at the level of the Taroua Yassine district.
The collision involved a vegetable transport truck and a grand taxi. The latter was transporting seven people who were heading to the city of Chichaoua. The local authorities confirmed a total of eight deaths in this accident.
As soon as they were notified, the local authorities, the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection went to the scene to take the necessary measures.
The bodies of the victims were transferred to the morgue of the Hassan II Regional Hospital Center in Agadir.
An investigation has been opened by the services of the Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. The objective is to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
