Morocco: two foreign tourists lose their lives in an accident in Merzouga
A tragic road accident that occurred on Friday night in the Merzouga region, Errachidia province, cost the lives of two foreign tourists. Two young Moroccans were seriously injured.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the all-terrain vehicle, which overturned in the middle of the sand dunes, according to local sources to Al3omk. The two foreign tourists were killed on the spot. Two young Moroccans who were accompanying them were seriously injured.
Alerted, the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie quickly rushed to the scene to carry out the usual findings. The injured were rushed to the Moulay Ali Cherif regional hospital in Errachidia to receive the necessary care. The bodies of the two victims were taken to the hospital morgue.
A judicial investigation has been opened, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
