Mother of Three Brutally Tortured for 8 Days in Horrific Kidnapping Near Témara
A 27-year-old woman and mother of three children has reported being kidnapped and tortured for eight days by members of a criminal network who then abandoned her, unconscious and in critical condition, in a forest near Témara.
The young woman explains that she was denied access to a hospital for lack of wearing a mask, even though she was going there to undergo medical tests. She was leaving to buy one when two men violently pulled her by the hair and dragged her towards a nearby forest, then forced her to get into a car.
The victim recounts being taken to a house where she suffered the worst forms of torture and inhumane and degrading treatment at the hands of two men, under the watchful eye of a veiled woman. The young woman mentions sexual violence, including gang rapes under anesthesia, and violent beatings, as well as the cutting of her hair. She claims to have been deprived of water and forced to consume food thrown on the floor.
A relative of the victim revealed that the kidnappers were sending false information about the victim via SMS, making them believe that she had been in a car accident and that her three minor children were living in a state of fear and despair. In one of the messages, the criminals had hinted that their goal was to take revenge on the victim’s husband, who they claimed had assaulted their brother.
After eight days of captivity and torture, the criminals threw the victim into a forest where she was found in critical condition, before being transferred to the Souissi Hospital in Rabat, and then to the Arrazi Psychiatric Hospital in Salé. The young woman is still suffering from acute trauma and has serious physical consequences from these acts of torture. She is having difficulty moving and speaking. Her family is calling for an urgent investigation to apprehend the kidnappers.
