Franco-Algerian Tourist Arrested at Marrakech Airport for Racist Outburst During Security Check

A Franco-Algerian was arrested at Marrakech-Menara International Airport after making offensive remarks against the police officers and Moroccans in general during a routine security check.
A routine security check that went wrong. Arriving at Marrakech-Menara International Airport last weekend, a Franco-Moroccan refused to submit to a routine security check applied to all arrivals. Angry, he unleashed a torrent of insults and offensive remarks against the border police and Moroccans in general. This behavior prompted the airport police officers to arrest him in flagrante delicto and take him to the airport police station. The latter forwarded the file to the judicial police of the Marrakech prefecture.
A judicial investigation has been opened. It includes the hearing of the accused and the establishment of the legal reports. After his arrest, the Franco-Algerian was placed in police custody. On Sunday, he was presented before the public prosecutor, who decided to extend the police custody and deepen the investigation.
