Major Drug Lord Arrested in Morocco Reveals International Trafficking Network

More is known about the drug baron arrested this week in Tetouan. According to the ongoing investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the elements of the judicial police of the city suspect the nicknamed "Farfara" and his accomplice of being involved in international drug trafficking networks, money laundering, settling of scores, attempted premeditated murder and other crimes, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. The main suspect is also suspected of having wounded in 2021 with a firearm an individual in a case of settling of scores. During his interrogation, he cited names that will be summoned as part of this investigation.

His arrest took place in the vicinity of a famous restaurant located near the city’s airport. In total, 240 cartridges, bladed weapons, six mobile phones, a tear gas bomb, a car and two falsified license plates, as well as a quantity of drugs were seized. The security services had issued several arrest warrants nationwide against the main suspect "for drug trafficking, forgery and use of forgeries, rape, exchange of blows and injuries, possession of bladed weapons, violence and aggravated theft".
