Agadir Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Fund Embezzlement

A police officer serving in Agadir has been referred to the public prosecutor for his alleged involvement in a case of embezzlement of funds.
The arrest of the suspect came following the control of the registers relating to the legalization and residence/establishment measures at the security services in the city of Biougra, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The follow-up operations by the hierarchy made it possible to detect embezzlement of funds made available to the accused, in the context of the execution of his duties. He has been temporarily suspended from his duties.
An investigation opened by the BNPJ was opened, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate the case. Ultimately, the officer will also be subject to the necessary administrative and disciplinary measures provided for under the fundamental status of civil servants, it is specified.
