Morocco’s Walid Regragui Named Best Arab Coach, Thanks King Mohammed VI for Support

Crowned as the best Arab coach of the year, Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, expresses his gratitude to King Mohammed VI for his support.
On Sunday, Walid Regragui received his trophy for best Arab coach of the year awarded by Sky News Arabia on the occasion of a ceremony organized at the headquarters of the channel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Happy with this distinction, the coach of the Moroccan national team addressed his thanks to King Mohammed VI for his support. He also thanked all Muslims and Africans around the world for their encouragement during the 2022 World Cup.
"The Moroccan national team has proven to the whole world that an Arab and African selection is able to win the World Cup," said the boss of the Atlas Lions. His protégés made Morocco the first African and Arab country to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. Beaten 2-0 at the Al-Bayt stadium by the Blues who had managed to qualify for the final in Qatar, Achraf Hakimi and his teammates finished fourth in this competition.
