Mbappé Backs Dembélé and Hakimi for Ballon d’Or Glory, Eyes Future Win
The French international from Real Madrid Kylian Mbappé has spoken about the Ballon d’Or contenders, namely his friend, the Moroccan right-back from PSG Achraf Hakimi and his teammate Ousmane Dembélé.
Kylian Mbappé lends his support to his compatriot Ousmane Dembélé of PSG in the race for the Ballon d’Or. "I hope he’s going to win it," assures the captain of the Blues on Téléfoot. "I’ve supported him from the start, it was natural for me. If it was up to me, I’d bring it home to him." The former PSG striker does not forget his friend and former teammate Achraf Hakimi: "I hope Achraf will also be well ranked, it would be cool for the defenders, to show that football is for all positions." The Moroccan right-back and Dembélé have had one of their best seasons of their careers.
The one who is also nominated among the 30 candidates does not count the Spanish striker of Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean origin. "Lamine Yamal? Very good player, but a Barcelona player. We can’t say anything," the Frenchman laughed. Even if Mbappé is revising his ambitions downwards, he hopes to win the Ballon d’Or one day. "It’s in the minds of all the players, but it goes through collective trophies and a successful season," concluded the French striker.
