Morocco’s Selim Amallah Sidelined for Weeks with Adductor Injury

A few days before their next gathering, the Atlas Lions lose an important element. Selim Amallah was injured during a match with Standard Liège, and will therefore not be available for Morocco’s double confrontation before the playoff match.
Bad news for the Moroccan national football team and Vahid Halilhodzic. Selim Amallah will be unavailable for several weeks due to a torn left adductor longus, confirmed after a series of medical examinations. According to the medical service of Standard Liège, he will be absent for 4 to 6 weeks.
To recall, the Belgian-Moroccan player was impressive on Tuesday, October 12 at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat during the postponed match of the 2nd round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, scoring a brace against Guinea in the 42nd and 65th minutes of play.
