Morocco Promotes Over 9,000 Police Officers, Rewarding Merit and Performance

In order to further encourage police officers "to sacrifice and do a good job", the DGSN has granted various promotions to 9,488 police officers for the 2022 fiscal year.
In a statement released on Sunday, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specifies that these agents were selected according to well-defined criteria. These include professional competence, merit, performance and seniority in the exercise of the profession and in the rank.
The DGSN emphasizes that it has favored promotion by choice. An option that consists in encouraging police officers to be more conscientious in the exercise of "their missions of protecting citizens, preserving their property and improving the quality of the services offered".
