Morocco’s Security Chief Appoints 16 New Officials Across Major Cities

The Director General of National Security (DGSN), Abdellatif Hammouchi proceeded, on Tuesday, to a new series of appointments at the level of several decentralized services of the institution.
Among the 16, these new promotions concern the cities of El Hajeb, Mehdia, Meknes, Tangier, Nador, Zemmamra, Casablanca, Oued Zem, Imouzzer Kandar, Beni Mellal and Khouribga.
In the judicial police, the appointment of two new heads of judicial police brigades in El Hajeb and Mehdia is announced, as well as a head of brigade affiliated with the Directorate of General Intelligence service in Meknes.
At the regional level, there have been the appointment of new police district chiefs in the cities of Khouribga, Beni Mellal, Casablanca and Nador, as well as officials of the urban corps in Tangier, Imouzzer Kandar, Oued Zem and Zemmamra.
The objective, according to the DGSN press release, is to increase the efficiency and profitability of human resources, by ensuring alternation in the assumption of responsibility and entrusting the operational management of police services to highly trained and qualified skills, capable of implementing and deploying work strategies aimed at strengthening the security of citizens and property.
