Moroccan Police Officer Found Dead After Mysterious Disappearance, Receives Posthumous Honor

A posthumous promotion has been granted to the police officer found burned in Had Soualem, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the initial information from the investigation opened by the Judicial Police Prefectural Service of Casablanca, the police officer disappeared after finishing his shift on Wednesday, March 1. His portable work camera and personal glasses were found with traces of blood.
The competent authorities quickly launched search and sweep operations to find the missing police officer. Finally, the charred body of the deceased was discovered in a sewer near Douar Lkhadara, not far from Had Soualem.
Following this tragedy, the DGSN ordered the central services in charge of human resources management to record an exceptional promotion in the professional register of the deceased. This promotion will take into account the effects of the police officer’s career for the benefit of his family and beneficiaries.
The judicial investigation supervised by the public prosecutor’s office is still ongoing to elucidate the circumstances of the disappearance and death of the police officer. The competent authorities are working tirelessly to shed full light on this tragic affair. The DGSN ensures that full light will be shed on this case and that those responsible will be punished in accordance with the law.
